Royal Bank of Canada

Designed in 1921 for a branch of The Royal Bank of Canada which established its first office in Puerto Rico in 1908.  It operated as such until 1993 when The Royal Bank of Canada closed its operations on the island and sold its branches to Spain's Banco Bilbao Vizcaya or BBVA.

Today, the building is considerably altered from its original design and the way it still looked in the 1970's when I worked at Banco Crédito across the street.
