The design of his residence was commissioned in 1924 to Nechodoma by Pablo Cot Cot (1867-1927) and his wife Rosenda Santiago Rivera the daughter of Clotilde Santiago the owner of
Hacienda Carmen. Cot was a French immigrant from the Eastern Pyrenees who arrived in PR in 1880 at the age of 13. He was a well known farmer in Coamo and member of the Municipal Board of Agriculture.
The residence is located accross the street from the Town Square or Plaza and the Catholic Church, adjacent to the residence of
Clotilde Santiago
who was his father in law, which makes Cot brother-in-law of Florencio Santiago for whom Nechodoma designed
Miramontes
in Aibonito.
Its facade has since been altered and the ground level floor changed to commercial use. However, the upper level horizontal overhangs and use of ceramic tile adornments, still shows the traits of the prairie style
